Fish Fry for Guatemala Children Set for Friday, Oct. 23, at McLeod County Fairgrounds Commercial Building
Oct. 11, 2009 – Area residents can enjoy an all-you-can eat fish dinner and silent auction while helping build a junior high school for children in Guatemala.
The “Fish for Guatemala Children”
event is set for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. or until the fish is gone, Friday, Oct. 23, at the McLeod County Fairgrounds Commercial Building, 840 Century Avenue SW, Hutchinson.
Tickets can be purchased and donations made in Hutchinson at Cash Wise Foods, EconoFoods, both Family Rexall Drug locations, Citizens Bank & Trust and First MN Bank of Hutchinson; in Glencoe at Coborns and Security Bank & Trust Co.; and in Dassel at Farmers State Bank.
Tickets can also be purchased through the mail and will be available for pickup at the ticket table the night of the event. Send your name, address, number of tickets ordered and the proper remittance to: The Agriculture & Humanitarian Aid Foundation, PO Box 491, Hutchinson, MN 55350, payable to: WaterStone #10744.
Early bird tickets are $8 and at the door the night of the event will be $9. Children five and under are free. Take out meals will be available upon request.
The Silent Auction features a $1,000 Wyndham Resort Vacation based on location and availability, as well as many other items. A framed watercolor print donated by the family of late Hutchinson artist Kathryn Mullins will highlight the hourly door prize drawings.
